Happy Cinco de Mayo! Cinco de Mayo, also known as Battle of Puebla Day, celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. Citizens of Mexico and the United States celebrate the day each May 5th.
Most Cinco de Mayos I have spent hanging out with friends at an outside bar/restaurant and enjoying some Mexican food (YUM!). Well this Cinco de Mayo will be a little different, due to the current state of the world, but it doesn’t mean we cannot celebrate! We just need to get a little more creative!
I’ll be having a virtual Taco Tuesday/Cinco de Mayo party with my family across three states. We couldn’t pass up a reason to virtually come together and have a little fun! I wanted to make sure that we got some pictures of the occasion, so I create hand drawn Cinco de Mayo Photo Booth props. These props are available for free below as a download and can be printed at home. All you’ll need to do to use them at your Cinco de Mayo party is print them out, cut each prop, and tap them to something so that you can hold them up with! I used some skewers that I had left over from a past party where I made kabobs and they turned out great!

I’d love to see your photos using the props, so be sure to tag me on Instagram @karmankismet. Plus, if you have any good DIY decoration ideas, please send them my way! I’ll be putting together a real quick banner, but need some more inspiration to make our at-home Cinco de Mayo party a real hit!
