This past January I traveled to Walt Disney World to cheer on my big sister, Robin, as she ran her first full marathon. My brother, Ian, sister-in-law, Lauren, and I tried to be the best spectators ever and followed her throughout the course in our matching “Spectating is my Sport” tees.

Despite it being unseasonably warm for the time of the year, Robin finished the race and got the coveted Mickey Mouse marathon finisher ears!

After all that running Robin was starving, and if I’m going to be honest, us spectators were also hungry from trying to keep up with her on the course!
We headed over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for an early afternoon dinner at Sanaa. If you’ve never been to Sanaa, you’re totally missing out – the bread service (including a gluten free option!) is amazing and the view is even better – you look out onto the savanna!
To celebrate Robin finishing her first full marathon, we all ordered sangria. – Cue the gospel choir harmonizing – This sangria was SO yummy! The best part, it was topped with Mickey Mouse ears!

Ever since we got home from our trip I have been craving that sangria. This weekend I decided I would do some experimenting and make my own DIY Disney Sangria at home!
